Heads up, gamers: Sony today started rolling out its next major PS4 system software update, version 5.0, to beta testers.
The update is loaded with new features, including a new family management system, 1080p 60fps broadcasting with PS4 Pro$399.00 at Amazon, the ability to disable pop-up notifications while you’re watching a movie or TV show, and more, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment America’s Andrew Kelly. If you signed up for the beta and were selected to participate, you’ll receive an email from Sony with instructions on how to download it and get started.
With Family on PSN, multiple adults can be part of a single family. This new system will also make it easier to set up PlayStation Network accounts for kids and customize parental control settings.
Meanwhile, you’ll also be able to create and edit custom lists of your friends. This way, “you can create a custom list of your Destiny teammates and easily send them raid invites,” Kelly wrote
